The American Heart Association holds events across the country to educate women about cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death for women in America. Held at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville, IN on April 16, 2026, we were proud to help support this event which helps to ensure all women are aware of their heart disease risk and empower women to take control of their well-being.
500 Turkeys works to help feed faimilies on Thanksgiving. In 2022 the Turkey Team of 18 devoted members was able to serve 1500+ meals to the NWI community in need. All collected food and funds was donated by caring men, women, families, churches, schools, organizations and local businesses from all over NW Indiana.
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana has been leading the Region’s fight against food insecurity since 1982 and distributes food for approximately 6 million meals each year to hungry kids, adults and seniors across Lake and Porter counties. Each month the Food Bank serves more than 23,000 individuals through its 100+ partner agencies and programs like Mobile Marketplace, Commodity Supplemental Food Program for seniors and the BackPack program.
